With about a month to go before "Mad Max: Fury Road" hits the Cannes Film Festival, Warner Bros. is starting to make the franchise connection more pronounced. Last week came a legacy trailer for the film, which underscored how it continues from the previous three films starring Mel Gibson. Now, a new Japanese spot brings us a bit more footage and a little more voiceover from the man who refers to himself as the "Road Warrior."

Running just over a minute long and powered by some truly terrible alternative rock (which I hope isn’t indicative of the finished movie), we get introduced to bits of new footage, a few more moments of dialogue, and of course, lots of explosions. If you’re looking to get your pulse racing this summer, ‘Fury Road’ looks like the choice to beat.
