Just yesterday, it was revealed that Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock, and Meghann Fahy were joining forces to work on a new Netflix series titled “Sirens.” And now, the next day, we know which two men will join the trio of ladies in what is becoming a kind of all-star cast.

According to Netflix, Glenn Howerton and Kevin Bacon have joined the cast of the streaming series, “Sirens.” The series follows a woman’s attempt to free her younger sister from the clutches of a creepy, cult-like job run by a powerful older woman.

Charlie Day is well-aware that we know him for his voice—his raspy, high-energy chaos in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has helped make it one of TV’s longest-running shows, and his softening of those vocal cords to voice Luigi is part of one of this year’s most successful movies, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” So it’s a rare bit of cleverness that Day speaks very little in “Fool’s Paradise,” a limp send-up of Hollywood in which he plays a character all but borrowed from Hal Ashby’s brilliant 1979 film “Being There.” Whereas Peter Sellers’ character Chance the Gardener is only educated by TV and gardening, Day’s character, known initially as The Fool, does not speak at all—he lets a Hollywood rise and fall happen to him, pushed along by the hubris and delusions of his new co-stars, handlers, and audience.

Chances are high that, if you are reading this on the go, you are doing so on your iPhone. Apple, which first introduced the phone in 2007, now holds a whopping 24% share of the smartphone market, meaning that out of every four phones sold today, one is an iPhone. This dominance, although remarkable, pales in comparison to the height of the BlackBerry fever. The BlackBerry did in 1999 what was only possible in sci-fi movies until then: it made computers fit in the pockets of everyday people.

“There’s a fragment of cosmic blood in this synthetic analog…” – Max Fist.

Feel free to read that again. Yes, that’s a real line and a real character name in director Adam Egypt Mortimer’s ludicrously bonkers superhero film, “Archenemy,” starring Joe Manganiello as the gloriously named lead character, Max Fist.
