Aaron Taylor-Johnson & John Cena Get Pinned Down In First Trailer For Doug Liman's 'The Wall'

If you haven’t heard of “The Wall,” there’s a pretty good reason. Doug Liman shot this movie during the summer on the sly —it was originally intended as a small project to get out of the way before making “Gambit,” starring Channing Tatum. Well, that superhero movie is stuck in development, so it means a bit of a brighter light can be shined down on this lean and mean thriller.

The unlikely duo of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena lead the movie, which sees two America soldiers pinned down by enemy fire and trying to survive. That’s pretty much the entire plot, but here’s a slightly more expansive synopsis:

“The Wall” is a deadly psychological thriller that follows two soldiers pinned down by an Iraqi sniper, with nothing but a crumbling wall between them. Their fight becomes as much a battle of will and wits as it is of lethally accurate marksmanship.

“The Wall” opens on March 10, 2017.
