Aliens Have Landed In Final Trailer For Denis Villeneuve's 'Arrival' Starring Amy Adams

Arrival” is not the alien invasion you’re expecting, and that’s a good thing. A movie where language and memory are key elements, and where a third act turn has nothing at all to do with blockbuster-style explosions, Denis Villeneuve‘s sci-fi effort is moving, profound, and one of the best films of the year. So, while you’re watching this final trailer, just remember there’s much more beyond the surface.

Starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker, the story follows a linguist who is hired by the military to communicate with aliens after mysterious spacecrafts appear around the globe. Are they a threat? Or are they here with a message? That’s the mystery at the center of this beautifully told story. Here’s the official synopsis:

When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.

“Arrival” opens on November 11th.
