Bong Joon-Ho Will Reportedly Direct 'Parasite' Next

We’re all preparing for Bong Joon-Ho‘s awesome looking “Okja,” to the extent that we want to enjoy that film before thinking about what he’s going to be doing after. But apparently the filmmaker has already decided on his next movie.

According to AsianWiki (take with a grain of salt and all that), the filmmaker is reteaming with his “The Host” and “Memories of Murder” star Song-Kang Ho for “Parasite.” Not many other details are being revealed, except that the film will “revolve around a family going through a disturbance,” which sounds right in the director’s wheelhouse. Perhaps most intriguing is that the plan is for the movie to be ready for release in 2018. Back-to-back years with Bong Joon-Ho films? Fine by us.

Again, this isn’t quite official, but perhaps at the very least it suggests that Bong Joon-Ho isn’t taking too much of a break before gearing up his next film.
