Daniel Craig Now Says He’s Back For One More James Bond Movie

We know, you’re tired of hearing about it, and we’re tired of writing about it. It was only yesterday that Daniel Craig continued to demur about whether or not he was returning as James Bond, saying that “nothing is confirmed.” However, by the end of the night, he had a much more definitive answer.

Dropping by “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” to promote “Logan Lucky,” the actor finally got real about his future with 007.

“I have been quite cagey about it. I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy. But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you,” Craig told Colbert.

The actor admits that he had known he’d known for a “couple of months” that he’d be back, however, this will likely be his last outing as the world famous spy. “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can’t wait,” Craig added.

So, there we go, from the man himself, Daniel Craig will be back for the next James Bond movie. Now, we’ll see which of the shortlisted directors — Yann Demange, Denis Villenueve and David MacKenzie — will wind up with the gig. Let’s hope the process of getting that confirmed isn’t as tortured a process as Craig’s confirmation.

The next James Bond movie opens on November 8, 2019.
