Generally speaking, when brands and blockbusters collide, the result is goofy or garish, but kudos to the team behind “Alien: Covenant” for a making a spot that essentially doubles as an ad for AMD, Ryzen and Radeon but doesn’t feel like one.

Conceived by Ridley Scott and directed by Luke Scott (who also helmed the “Alien: Covenant” prologue), “Meet Walter” takes us through the creation of Michael Fassbender‘s Walter, one of the two droids he’ll be playing in the film (the other being David, of course). The promo looks great, acts as an effective tease for the film, and doesn’t make us want to buy computer parts at all. Win!
