Neill Blomkamp Darkly Reimagines Donald Trump’s Air Force One & Motorcade

Sometimes in the face of horror, all you can do is laugh. Last week, the election of Donald Trump as President brought deep worry, anxiety, and concern across the country, but it hasn’t taken long for filmmakers to start reacting. Over the weekend, Dave Chappelle hit “Saturday Night Live” and delivered a powerful opening monologue, while Kate McKinnon sang the late Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” while in character as Hillary Clinton. Ethan Coen brought his scathing pen to The New York Times, where he wrote a series of bitter “thank you” notes about the election, and now, Neill Blomkamp is looking grimly to the future.

The director has posted his reimagining of what the Air Force One and Trump motorcade might look like once he takes office. The pimped out plane with gun turrets and the golden chariot style vehicle certainly speak to his hawkish attitude and ego, and it’s pretty darkly funny stuff from Blomkamp.
