'Prince Of Persia' Soundtrack To Feature Closing Credits Song By Alanis Morissette

It seems Walt Disney has a perverse love for irrelevant pop singers writing songs for their big tentpole movies. Earlier this year, Avril Lavigne’s screechy, lyrically on-the-nose and generally terrible “Alice” greeted defeated audiences as they escaped out of theaters playing Tim Burton’s awful “Alice In Wonderland.” Now, it’s been revealed that Alanis Morissette will contribute “I Remain” to closing reel of the upcoming “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time.” You’ve been warned.

Thankfully, Morissette’s song is the only one that we’ll be subjected to and there won’t be any “inspired by” releases like “Almost Alice.” Instead, the song will be found on the tail end of the soundtrack score release. Harry Gregson-Williams composed the score, and its familiar territory for the composer who has scored other tentpole films like the upcoming “Shrek Forever After” and “The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian.”

The soundtrack will hit stores on May 25th a few days before the film hits theaters on May 28th.
