Merchandising! It makes the blockbuster movie world go ’round, and it’s why studios spend hundreds of millions of dollars making them, because they’ll make that money back (and more) on toys, pillows, shampoo, and whatever else they stamp with the brand from a factory in China. And while I’m not sure that anybody still buys trading cards, Topps is hoping to move some units with their deck from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
Inside, fans will find new images from the upcoming spinoff, and while there are some fresh glimpses of the main players, most are snaps of secondary characters. That said, it still gives a sense of the grittier than usual entry in the “Star Wars” universe.
So take a look below for some new images, posters, and what’s next, ‘Rogue One’ Pogs? Anything is possible. See the movie when it opens on December 16th. [via HeyUGuys]
