Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone Sing "City Of Stars" From 'La La Land,' Plus Full Soundtrack Details Revealed

Gearing up to win over many moviegoer hearts when it opens next month, “La La Land” is one of the most hotly anticipated films left to be released this year. And that’s made more remarkable by the fact that it’s not a big blockbuster tentpole, or the latest effort from an acclaimed, veteran auteur. Instead, it’s a modestly budgeted, original musical from rising filmmaker Damien Chazelle, featuring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone at their most appealing. It’s a love story about heartache, a tale of dreams in a city where those are often dashed. In short, it’s great.

And so too is the music, which sees both Gosling and Stone showing off their talents at the microphone. And neither of them are impeccable performers, which makes the songs that much more vulnerable and affecting, such as the recently released “City Of Stars” which sees them sharing a duet. It’s a great cut from a movie without a dud in the bunch, and the soundtrack will be one you’ll want to have ready to spin.

The film and soundtrack will both arrive on December 9th, and you can check out the full tracklisting below and listen to “City Of Stars.”
