Starring Eja Penelope Roepstorff, Ida Glitre, Ira Rønnenfelt, Maja Leth Bang, Mathilde Linnea Daugaard, Elise Pedersen, Sara Morling, and Zara Munch Bjarnum, the experimental teen drama tells the story of eight girls (all found on social media by Berg) who spend a summer together in a youth club, forming close bonds and finding their own identities. Here’s the terrific, official synopsis:

A punk chick flick about teen girls that mixes highly stylized fictional elements with documentary material: loneliness, pussy-power, Kawaii, electric green, hentai, graffiti, vibrators, friendship, teddy bears, resting bitch face, ART, fire, fear, bubble-gum, mom & dad, anorexia, cactuses, homemade piercings, nail art, cherries, cutting, dolphins, Lolita, secret diaries and daydreaming. Radical girls in an ordinary world.

“Team Hurricane” will premiere at Venice International Critics Week which runs from August 30th to September 9th.
