'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage' Sequel In The Works

Let’s be blunt: no one in North America cares about the “xXx” franchise. The last installment, “xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage,” only managed $44 million domestically, but internationally, it’s a whole other story. The movie earned a whopping $301 million, with more than a third of that coming from China. So obviously, there will be a sequel.

The fledgling H Collective is getting into the blockbuster game, lining up the cash to finance and produce the next “xXx” installment. Presumably, Vin Diesel will be back with a new crew to fly rocket-powered paragliders or whatever they do in these movies. Clearly, there is a global audience that continues to dig this series, even if we’re getting tired of them here. No word yet on who might direct or write the picture, but it also sort of doesn’t matter.

And that’s not the only project H Collective is throwing their weight behind: they are also gearing up the Aaron Paul starring thriller “The Parts You Lose” about a deaf boy who provides shelter to a stranger and puts himself in danger in the process and “Three Sisters,” a new action/comedy from Timur Bekmambetov starring Ruby Rose.

Again, not much else is known about the new “xXx” movie except that it’s a thing that’s going to happen, so stay tuned for more news. [Variety]
