“Haunted Mansion”
Directed by Justin Simien (“Bad Hair,” “Dear White People”) from a screenplay by Katie Dippold, “Haunted Mansion” is the second film based on the Walt Disney theme park attraction. The film follows a single mother and her son after moving into a mansion who soon finds out it’s haunted. In order to take on the spirits, they must hire a former paranormal investigator turned tour guide, a priest, a psychic, and a college history professor. The film stars LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, and more in yet another star-studded July release.

“Talk To Me”
In their debut feature film, director duo Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou helm one of the most anticipated horror films of the year so far, “Talk to Me.” The film follows a group of friends who discover that they’re able to conjure spirits by using an embalmed hand, a practice that results in the unleashing of terrifying supernatural forces. Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, Miranda Otto, and more stars. Our critic wrote, “On the surface, “Talk to Me” is a blast of demonic horror that will make your skin crawl. “Kokomo City”
Shot in black and white, the documentary “Kokomo City” follows four Black transgender sex workers living in New York and Georgia as they tell their life stories in intimately captured interviews from director D. Smith. Our critic wrote, “The subjects of “Kokomo City” are quote machines, but their strength is that they make you listen to what they are actually saying and digest their opinions. Oh, no, they are not just here to entertain you. Points will be made.”
