2010 Oscar Acceptance Speeches

In case you missed the 82nd Annual Academy Awards ceremony last night, here are a bunch of the acceptance speeches. If you want more context, here’s all the winners, and here’s our detailed live blog. In case you were under a rock, “The Hurt Locker” was the night’s big winner taking 6 awards in total including Best Picture and Best Director. Some of these clips are a little ghetto, but deal with it, that’s all that’s out there at the moment. We’ll update this post if better quality clips come along or more of them.

Jeff Bridges’ accepts the Best Actor award for “Crazy Heart.”

Sandra Bullock’s accepts the Best Actress prize for her work in “The Blind Side.”

Crazy producer bum-rushes the show (aka, Roger Ross Williams director of the short, “Music by Prudence” goes to accept his speech and then his embittered and estranged producer Elinor Burkett hopped up on stage to steal the glory; Cinematical has more on the back story that includes nasty lawsuits).

Mark Boal accepts the Best Original Screenplay award for “The Hurt Locker”

Mo’Nique accepts the Best Supporting Actress award for her work in “Precious.”

We posted the John Hughes tribute earlier.

Here’s more, Christoph Waltz accepts his award for Best Supporting actor in “Inglourious Basterds”

Kathryn Bigelow’s Best Director acceptance speech for “The Hurt Locker” is available over at Jezebel. Update, ok, it’s out there too.
