Ed Norton Sounds Skeptical About A Sequel To 'The Incredible Hulk'

So we all know despite all the reboot hype and talk of besting Ang Lee’s version, that Ed Norton’s “The Incredible Hulk” was as much a bust (or a success, depending on your POV) as Lee’s maligned “Hulk” was, and they essentially did equal amounts at the box-office (Lee’s version did $245 million worldwide, where as Norton’s did $247 million globally).

Then their was all that in-fighting over Norton’s version of the script and the prickly star hardly doing any mainstream press for the film.

So asked point blank by MTV, will Norton star in a Hulk sequel? The star sounds pretty skeptical, and says he’s been kept in the dark by the powers that be at Marvel.

The minds of Marvel are sometimes opaque,” he told MTV. “I won’t say [they’re] obtuse, but I don’t have any idea what they want to do.”

Norton said he’s also been kept out of the loop concerning The Avengers movie project which he sounded dubious about.

“They’ve got this notion of collecting the Marvel characters,” said Norton, who appeared a bit skeptical of Marvel’s ambitious plans for the project. “Who knows where they’ll go?”

Could you imagine an Avengers movie without Norton, or god, another Hulk reboot? The fans’ patience will have been tested beyond belief at that point. For the sake of the super-hero team-up, Marvel should try and kiss and make up with Norton even if he is insufferable at times.
