Comedian Zach Galifianakis has been cast as the third buddy in Todd Phillips upcoming comedy “The Hangover,” yes! We mentioned earlier that Phillips had already cast Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper (“Wedding Crashers”) in his comedy that follows three best friends at a wild Las Vegas bachelor party who lose the groom just hours before his wedding.
We have high hopes for this film, as it could be the project that finally has Phillips reaching the quality he did with “Old School,” before his work severely fell off, not to mention we are big fans of Galifianakis. The three should play well off each other, as Helms has been wonderful in bit parts in such films as “Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay,” and “Walk Hard,” and Cooper played the part of the over the top fratboy in “Wedding Crashers” amazingly..
The project is moving quickly and filming is slated to start this weekend, so keep your eyes open in the months to come, this could finally be the Phillips comeback we have all been desperately waiting for.
