Got a Tip?

Watch: 2 New Clips From ‘The Dark Knight Rises’; Christopher Nolan Says Catwoman Deserves A Spinoff

nullWe're just over a week away from "The Dark Knight Rises" swooping into theaters, and Warner Bros. is throwing everything they've got at the movie to ensure it will be one of the year's biggest films. Not that they have to worry. They could've declined to show anything from the movie until today, and there would still be lines around the block next weekend (hope you got your tickets early, folks). But thankfully for Bat-fans, they haven't taken that approach. Instead, we get a pretty sweet new Mondo poster above, two new clips below, and already, teases of a Catwoman movie.

The first clip is an extended look at the "it comes in black" meeting between Lucius Fox and a hobbling Bruce Wayne, and don't worry about spoilers, because the movie is nearly three hours long and this is likely all approved by Christopher Nolan. Meanwhile, the next one is another slight extension of what we've seen before, with Catwoman warning Bruce Wayne. Speaking of which, Nolan recently chatted with Access Hollywood, and once again reiterated he was done with the Batman universe, but also stumped for Anne Hathaway to get her own movie. “For me, Gotham and these characters, I’m done. I’ve told our story and I’m moving on,” he said, but added that another director could helm a "Catwoman" movie for the actress. “I certainly think she deserves it, she’s incredible.”

“Anne is incredibly precise and articulate about the psychology of the character. She’s really built it from the ground up, it’s just a delight to watch her perform,” the director enthused, adding, “She’s an incredible character and we’re very excited to see her and hopefully we’ll leave people wanting more.”

We wouldn't be surprised if WB executives are already kicking around the idea, and you can bet that if the character is a hit with fans, that idea will continue to build steam (particularly since the studio's last effort to boot up a movie around Catwoman with Halle Berry failed miserably).

"The Dark Knight Rises" opens on July 20th, and if you want that Mondo poster, it's on sale today at Comic-Con. It's a limited print of 375 going for $50 a pop and probably much more once copies hit eBay.
