Call it “Extraordinary Measures 2” if you will, but Pajiba reports that Matthew McConaughey is circling the indie drama “The Headhunter’s Calling” that in addition to possibly requiring him to keep his shirt on, may also feature some actual real-deal acting instead of shameless mugging for the ladies in the back row.
Written by Bill Dubuque, the story will follow “a workaholic corporate headhunter who has been alienating his family for years and letting his cutthroat business compromise his ethics in pursuit of financial gain, until he finds out his oldest has Leukemia and decides that family is more valuable than anything else.” Get out your Kleenex.
Okay, okay maybe we’re being a bit hard on the guy as at least lately, he’s showing interest in projects that don’t also co-star Kate Hudson. McConaughey is currently shooting the legal drama “The Lincoln Lawyer” and is eyeing a role opposite Hilary Swank in “Dreams Of A Dying Heart.” Anyhow, it’s interesting to note for now and we’ll see if he actually signs on.
