Debunked: Adrien Brody Won't Play 'Ant-Man'

As we said last week, these guys like rumors.

So the latest rumor making the rounds via John Campea of AMC’s Script to Screen’s Twitter is that Adrien Brody is being sought to play “Ant-Man” in Edgar Wright’s upcoming Marvel Film adaptation. Latino Review apparently chimed in and said this was true.

Well, we checked with sources very close to the project this morning and it’s evidently untrue. Maybe the rumors that Nathon Fillion playing “Ant-Man” (also untrue) will finally die now? Trading a rumor for a new rumor perhaps? While Wright has talked about giving another pass at the “Ant-Man” script post-“Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” promotion, and most assume that comes next, he still hasn’t made an official decision on what his next picture will be yet and he still has a deal to make two films for Working Title (“Baby Driver” is one, the other is the “The World’s End,” the final entry in the “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy.” As you were.
