We sort of wonder how big the truckload of money that pulled up in front of Al Pacino’s house was, but seriously, we know his last few movies (“Righteous Kill,” “88 Minutes,” “Two For The Money”) have, well, sucked but has it really come to this?
The actor has done his first commercial ever, shilling for Australia’s Vittoria Coffee. The spot was helmed by Barry Levinson who directed Pacino mostly recently in HBO’s highly acclaimed, mutiple Emmy nominated film “You Don’t Know Jack” (ok, so that one probably didn’t suck). The spot goes for an off the cuff vibe with Pacino talking about how much he needs coffee, how integral it is to his work day, but even when talking about a cup of joe, Pacino is fucking intense.
Oh yeah, that music? “Cello Song” by Nick Drake. [Gawker]
