Got a Tip?

Ed Norton Takes High Road In Response To Marvel’s ‘Hulk’-Gate

So yeah, unless you’re living under a rock you’ve heard the Marvel/Ed Norton drama today and it sounds and feels a lot like March, 2008 when Kevin Feige and Marvel butted heads with the actor regarding the final cut of Louis Leterrier’s “The Incredible Hulk.” As chronicled this morning what feels like several times, the story basically goes like this:
1) Ed Norton won’t be reprising his role as Bruce Banner in Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers” because Marvel thinks he’s too difficult.
2) Ed Norton’s agent is pretty angry at Kevin Feige’s comments which paint Norton as a non-team player.
3). He might be replaced with Joaquin Phoenix if the rumors turn out to be true.
Now Norton has responded to all the drama on Facebook.

You can read it all below. But essentially, Norton is taking the high road here and not adding to the mudslinging. “I know this is disappointing to many people and that makes me sad. But I am very sincerely grateful to Marvel for extending the offer and even more so for giving me the chance to be part of the Hulk’s long and excellent history,” he wrote. “Hulk is bigger than all of us, that’s why we love him, right?”

Way to keep it classy.
