Watch: New 'Fifty Shades Of Grey Clip' Gets Hot With Literature, Director Says Film Doesn't Have "Gratuitous Sex"

Fifty Shades Of Grey“[I’d] say it’s pretty 50/50,” director Sam Taylor-Johnson told Variety about the quantity of sex in "Fifty Shades Of Grey." “I think the sex scenes are integral to the story. They are not gratuitous. It tracks the story.” But that statement raises a couple questions.

As we learned yesterday, reports are that the erotica bestseller features about twenty minutes of getting it on, and that’s certainly a big discrepancy with what the director says. Furthermore, aren’t people going to see "Fifty Shades Of Grey" because they are expecting "gratuitous sex"? It’s certainly not for the film’s discussion of literature and internships, featured in this latest clip from the movie. Is that supposed to get our pulse racing or encourage audiences to fix up their CVs? Perhaps we never knew job applications could be so hot.

"Fifty Shades Of Grey" arrives on February 13th, so bring a date. Watch below.
