Got a Tip?

Watch The Trailer For Ron Howard’s Beatles Documentary ‘Eight Days A Week,’ Film Set For September Release

Over 50 years on, The Beatles are the most examined and talked-about band in history. And that’s a testament to the sheer wealth of brilliant music, and the myth-making that went alongside, that John, Paul, George and Ringo were responsible for. There have been plenty of documentaries, including the epic “Anthology” series, but we still think that there’s room for a definitive big-screen film about the Fab Four.

Step in… Ron Howard? The Oscar winner has directed the new, official and authorized film “The Beatles: Eight Days A Week — The Touring Years,” which focuses on the band’s earlier years up until their concert in San Francisco’s Candlestick Park in 1966, and the first trailer for the movie has just dropped.

It’s directed and produced by Howard, and a release date has now been set for September 16th in the U.S, but if you can’t make it then, don’t worry: Hulu will be streaming the film from the day after. Will it have anything new to say? We’ll find out then (with, we imagine, a TIFF premiere just beforehand). Watch the trailer above, courtesy of Deadline.
