Earlier this week, there was quite a geeky brouhaha when The Wrap reported that Ryan Reynolds had filmed some kind of scene, most likely a post-credits sequence, for “Logan.” The denials came fast and hot from Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold, but the the trade stuck by their story, noting they never actually said Deadpool and Wolverine would be seen together, leaving the door ajar that everybody is playing a game of semantics. We’ll soon see who turns out to be right or wrong, but Reynolds has taken another moment out of his day to address the issue.
As you might remember, it wasn’t that long ago that he was petitioning for a Deadpool/Wolverine movie, but he explains why the Merc With A Mouth wouldn’t work in “Logan”:
No. I want a Deadpool/Wolvie film. But Logan is its own unique & perfect thing. The Big Red Shit-Talker wouldn't mix with the tone. https://t.co/35WpEJLJ10

Again, this isn’t to say Deadpool can’t pop up once the credits for “Logan” are finished, but you can positively rule out Wolverine and Deadpool throwing lines back and forth.
“Logan” opens on March 3, 2017.
