We’re coming upon a year since “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” was released, and Zack Snyder‘s blockbuster mess can’t seem to go away. And it seems that as time has worn on, the divide between those who defend the picture and those who think it was a massively wasted opportunity grows ever-pronounced. And so, this little bit of news about the expensive-looking but kinda narratively inconsequential Knightmare sequence will either be a big deal for fans or further evidence that Snyder was just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what would stick.

Production designer Patrick Tatopoulos has shared the concept art of some kind of bat creature that was intended for the Knightmare scene of ‘Dawn Of Justice,’ according to io9. It wound up getting cut, probably because Snyder realized he had enough bananas things going not just in that sequence, but in the rest of the movie, too. And while the art is well-rendered, let’s be thankful this wasn’t in the already over-stuffed movie.
