Got a Tip?

Chloe Moretz Confirmed For ‘The Fields’ With Sam Worthington & Jeffrey Dean Morgan

While already rumored to be part of the film (or rather, we didn’t 100% trust her unverified Twitter account, now we do), Production Weekly has confirmed that Chloe Moretz has joined the cast of the Texas-set crime thriller “The Field” starring Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jessica Chastain from the upcoming Terrence Malick drama, “The Tree Of Life.” The film is being directed by Michael Mann’s daughter, Ami Canaan Mann and filming begins in New Orleans begins May 3.

This could mean Moretz (“Kick Ass” and the upcoming “Let Me In” remake of “Let The Right One In”) may not be able to join Martin Scorsese’s “The Invention Of Hugo Cabret” which last we heard was also shooting in May unless that plan has somehow changed.

Formerly titled “The Texas Killing Fields,” the film centers in the Texas bayous, where a local homicide detective teams up with a cop from New York City to investigate a series of unsolved murders. We assume that means Worthington is playing a Texan? Let’s hope his performance is more convincing than a recent mediocre showing as a demi-god. More like “Titans will clatter around and crash.”
