If you’re looking for the high water mark for YA romance films and TV projects of the last decade, it’s clear that “The Fault in Our Stars” takes the cake. Similarly to films like “The Notebook,” ‘Fault’ was able to drive people to tears in ways that a lot of films only dream about. And now, Hulu is hoping to strike the same chord with its subscribers with the upcoming “Looking for Alaska.”

As seen in the teaser, “Looking for Alaska” is based on the novel of the same name from ‘Fault’ author John Green. The limited series tells the story of Pudge and his love affair with a girl named Alaska, who he meets while attending a boarding school. As you might expect from a series like this, “Looking for Alaska” is clearly going to try to make you laugh, cry, and feel all sorts of fuzzy.

The limited series stars Charlie Plummer, Kristine Froseth, Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, Ron Cephas Jones, Timothy Simons, and Jordan Connor. “Looking for Alaska” is developed by Josh Schwartz, who is best known for being the man behind “The OC,” “Gossip Girl,” and “Chuck.”

“Looking for Alaska” debuts on Hulu on October 18.

Here’s the synopsis:

The series centers around teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life.
