Rachel McAdams Set To Join Woody Allen's Untitled Paris Film

If Owen Wilson wasn’t such a nice guy, we’d hate his guts right now.

The actor will now be joined by the beautiful and talented Rachel McAdams for Woody Allen’s still untitled Paris-set film which already has the equally talented and beautiful, recently announced Marion Cotillard and French first-lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy attached to star.

Little is known about the film thus far but early reports have described it simply as a “romantic drama.” In true Allen fashion but, it’ll surely explore the relationships and romantic entanglements of its protagonists. The film is slated to begin shooting this summer in Paris and will top off Allen’s three-film deal with Spanish financers Mediapro, a collaboration that has brought about 2007’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and the upcoming “You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.”

The New York icon Allen has previously expressed the difficulties in today’s climate to making films in his native home, and in recent years has had much better luck securing financing from foreign investors, hence his run of films set in Europe.

McAdams, meanwhile, has Terrence Malick’s untitled romantic drama with Christian Bale, Olga Kurylenko and Javier Bardem tentatively set to shoot this fall, but does her involvement with Allen’s film mean she won’t be in “Sherlock Holmes 2” also set to shoot this summer? It’s too early to tell, but Allen’s shoots are usually very quick, so it’s possible she can get both films in the can.
