Don’t believe the hype? Well, here’s a new inside look at “Legacy Of Monsters” where the cast and crew, including Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, give their take on the show. And, sure, they’re high on the show because they were paid to make it, but the new footage of the series also makes this look like the most formidable installment in the MonsterVerse since Gareth Edward‘s 2014 film “Godzilla.” And with Toho‘s “Godzilla Minus One” hitting US theaters next month, and then “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” arriving next April, Apple TV+’s series may arrive at the perfect time.

Here’s a synopsis of “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters,” courtesy of Apple TV+:

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later, where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

Along with the Russells, “Legacy Of Monsters” also stars Anna SawaiKiersey ClemonsRen Watabe, Mari YamamotoAnders HolmJoe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.  Matt Shakman, director of “WandaVision” and the upcoming “Fantastic Four,” helms the show’s first two episodes and serves as an executive producer.

With three major releases coming out in the next five months, it’s a great time to be a Godzilla fan. So how will “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters” stack up against the MonsterVerse’s other kaiju-ridden projects? Find out when the first two episodes of series premiere on Apple TV+ On November 17.
