'Wake Up Dead Man': Andrew Scott Is The Latest To Join Rian Johnson's 'Knives Out' Sequel

It has begun. We are now in the stage of “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” where a new cast member is announced each day or so. Yesterday, we shared that Cailee Spaeny and Josh O’Connor have been added. And now, we got another big name joining Rian Johnson’s ensemble cast.

According to Deadline, Andrew Scott is the newest member of the “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” cast. Scott joins the previously announced folks, as well as Daniel Craig, in the third installment of the ‘Knives Out’ franchise. No word yet on what the plot might be like for this film, but we have to assume there will be a murder and Benoit blanc will have to solve it in his own unique way.

Scott is probably best known for his role on “Fleabag,” but he’s been in a number of acclaimed projects over the years, including “Sherlock,” “1917,” and “All of Us Strangers.” Most recently, he appeared as the title character in Netflix’s drama series, “Ripley.” Basically, he’s one of the best actors working today, so it’s easy to surmise why Johnson picked him for the ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ cast.

Again, with only three new names being reported, we’re still expecting quite a few A-listers to be added to the film. The previous two movies, “Knives Out” and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” both featured truly incredible casts.

Filming is expected to begin soon on ‘Wake Up Dead Man,’ which would lead us to believe the film will arrive on Netflix in 2025.
