Just a few weeks ago, it was announced that Boots Riley’s new film is “I Love Boosters” and will have a pretty great cast. Well, we’ve got Round 2 of casting news and it’s looking really good for the new film.
According to NEON, Eiza González, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, and Will Poulter have all been added to the cast of Boots Riley’s new film, “I Love Boosters.” These actors join the previously announced Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, and Demi Moore. The film tells the story of a ring of shoplifters who target a fashion maven. Additional details about the plot are unknown at this time. And considering this is a Boots Riley film, we should definitely expect something more.

As for the new additions to the cast, González has been showing up in a number of places recently, such as the Netflix series “3 Body Problem” and Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.” Paige has most recently been seen in the Prime Video comedy, “Brothers.” Poulter’s most recent big appearance was in last year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” And Liu has been seen in “Space Cadet,” as well as the series “No Good Deed.”
A release date for “I Love Boosters” has yet to be announced. However, production is expected to begin this fall. So, it feels safe to assume a 2025 release date is planned.
