We’re not particularly big sports fans around The Playlist, but if we do look forward to anything this Sunday it will be the onslaught of fresh trailers and footage of studio tentpoles.
In a rare spot, that isn’t for a studio franchise or big summer attraction, Martin Scorsese’s thriller “Shutter Island,” set to hit theaters in just a couple of weeks, has been given the big game treatment. The teaser doesn’t give much in the way of new information or footage of the film, but the clip — compiled familiar shots from previous trailers — generally heightens the supernatural mood of the upcoming film, with lots of rapid cuts to get the attention of ADD addled football fans.
