90’s icons Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts are set to re-team in “Larry Crowne,” a comedy script written by Hanks that will see him star and return behind the camera.
While details are light at the moment, the story reportedly follows a man who is forced to reinvent himself and find a new career as he navigates the second act of his life. Hanks and Roberts last teamed in 2006’s “Charlie Wilson’s War” which saw Golden Globe nominations for both in the Best Actor and Actress categories along with Best Picture, Screenplay and Supporting Actor nominations for the film.
“Larry Crowne” will be Hank’s first feature film directorial effort since 1996’s “That Thing You Do!” which he also wrote. Production is slated to begin this April in Los Angeles.
