Jack White Solo Blues Track from 'It Might Get Loud' Gets Release

Collaborative rock doc “It Might Get Loud” is getting its own single. Jack White has written a song for the album called “Fly Farm Blues” that he’ll be releasing via his own Third Man Records (also home to his newest side project the Dead Weather) on August 11. The song was written at the behest of “It Might Get Loud” director David Guggenheim during the doc’s filming at a little studio haunt called Fly Farm. Apparently White was filmed composing the track in the very same room Jim Jarmusch shot the Raconteurs video he helmed for, “Steady As She Goes.”

In keeping with the great vinyl boom (2008 was a record year for vinyl sales, you know – best in SoundScan history as a matter of fact) this track will be released as a 7″ and on ITunes for your digital consumption. Aren’t you glad you can take another little piece of Jack White home with you?

“It Might Get Loud” hits theaters on August 14 in limited release via Sony Pictures Classics.
