Diablo Cody's 'Jennifer's Body' Added To 2009 Toronto International Film Festival

Two new pics from “Jennifer’s Body” starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried surfaced this weekend and now, like we predicted, the sarcastic teen horror comedy written by Diablo Cody is set to make its world debut at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section (naturally).

Other films added to the TIFF roster include the White Stripes live concert doc, “The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights,” that some thought would open the festival (didn’t happen), “L’Enfer de Henri-Georges Clouzot,” which is film archivist Serge Bromberg’s look at Clouzot’s unfinished film “L’Enfer,” a picture that was to star Romy Schneider before the film collapsed for various reasons (Clouzot directed the two suspense classics, “The Wages Of Fear” and “Diabolique,” run don’t walk if you’ve never seen).

Also featured in the Midnight Madness section alongside ‘Body’ are “Ong Bak 2: The Beginning” and “George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead.”

“Jennifer’s Body”hits theater just as TIFF ends on September 18. TIFF runs September 10-19. [Indiewire]
