Got a Tip?

Bruce Willis May Join ‘The Expendables’? Robert Rodriguez Wants To Jump The Project Queue W/ ‘The Jetsons’, First Look: Nicole Kidman In ‘Rabbit Hole’

Rumor has it Bruce Willis may be joining Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables” if scheduling on Kevin Smith’s “A Couple Of Dicks” permits. His reported character, ‘Church,’ is apparently the man who hires the expendable team of mercenaries and has a pivotal scene with Sly and Arnie. Total bullshit? With Moviehole it’s quite possible.[NewsInFilm/Moviehole]

Robert Rodriguez has revealed that the live-action adaptation of “The Jetsons,” which was said to be next after his sci-fi project “Nerverackers,” is currently being re-written and shooting will hopefully begin next year. So this, “Machete,” “Nerverackers” “Predators” and “Sin City 2” are all on his plate and coming soon? We’ve just about given up on trying to figure Rodriguez out. [MTV] However, a note for those trying to figure what really comes out next from this ever-changing mind. The June issue of Production Weekly has “Machete” on the docket for this summer and tellingly, no other Rodriguez projects. BTW, you knew it was total bullshit, but Rodriguez himself killed the rumor (via AICN) that Arnold Schwarzenegger had been contacted about being part of the “Predators” film.

James Franco is set to star in “In The Praise Of Shadows,” a film by his NYU head of the directing program, Jay Anania. The film centers on a young man’s eccentric and curious journey back to New York City after four years in exile to rescue his love from a crime syndicate. [Variety]

“Jackass'” Steve-O has revealed that shooting on his buddy Chris Pontinus’ feature debut in Sofia Coppola’s “Somewhere” has begun, as is the case for William Monahan’s Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell led directorial debut “London Boulevard.” That, in turn, presumably means that shooting has completed for Mark Romanek’s “Never Let Me Go” which stars Knightley alongside Andrew Garfield, Sally Hawkins and Carey Mulligan. Kevin Williamson has confirmed that the proposed “Scream” film is a sequel rather than a remake and that plans are for the film to span a new trilogy. Has it really come to this? Wes Craven is open to the idea, but only if the script is of quality, but with Craven, who knows what that means. [/Film]

Universal and Imagine have picked up “The Originals,” a script by Bryce Dallas Howard which may potentially be directed by her father Ron Howard. The film will follow a group of twenty-somethings who meet in New York after a significant teacher from their childhoods falls into a mysterious coma. [THR]

Here is the trailer the upcoming HBO series “Hung.” Starring Thomas Jane, Anne Heche and Jane Adams, the show follows the story of a well-endowed man who tries to cash in on his assets. The pilot episode is directed by “Sideways” helmer Alexander Payne. [/Film]
