At this point you’re probably sick of it, because we’ve been all over the soundtrack details to Jim Jarmusch’s near-psychedelic noir, “The Limits of Control,” but we have our hands on the final, 17-song tracklist. As previously reported, the soundtrack features tracks by ambient metal soundscape artists Boris, Sunn O))) and Earth (featuring Bill Frisell), Austin psychedelic rockers Black Angels, LCD Soundsystem, and more (here’s all the music featured in the film).
Wait, who’s the group Bad Rabbit? We can exclusively reveal that’s the name of Jim Jarmusch’s band that features Carter Logan and Shane Stoneback. They’re the trio who wrote some additional music to the film that’s also been featured in the trailer which sounds like a mix of instrumental Yo La Tengo, with more expansive psych-rock tendencies and droney feedback. It’s ostensibly the score of the film since Bad Rabbit were the only ones that wrote original music for the film, but for whatever reason, they’re credit is only, “additional music.”
In addition to the soundtrack Bad Rabbit will be releasing an iTunes-only EP soon with additional music they have written, and perhaps extra cuts intended for the film that didn’t make it. It’s had a loose release date of May 5, but don’t hold us to that as it could change.

“The Limits of Control” stars Isaach De Bankolé as a mysterious loner sent to pull off an equally opaque job in Spain. The film also co-stars John Hurt, Paz De La Huerta, Bill Murray, Gael Garcia Bernal, Tilda Swinton and hits theaters in limited release on May 21.
Here’s the Black Angels’ moody “You On The Run” featured in the film. This track is great.
