*Update*: The videos were not animated by Terry Gilliam and in fact, were done by director and illustrator Daniel Auber, a member of Ledger’s art collective The Massive. Two videos will see the light of day, the aforementioned unreleased track “King Rat” by Modest Mouse and Grace Woodroofe’s cover of David Bowie’s “Quicksand,” according to the L.A. Weekly.
Before…
After the story exclusively broken by The Playlist last week uncovered that a Modest Mouse video directed by Heath Ledger everyone jumped on the story and now Spin are reporting that the band themselves have decided to release it. No specific date is attached, just “soon.” As previously reported the video is directed by Ledger and animated by Terry Gilliam. The two had previously worked together on “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” which IMDB says has a September 24, 2009 release date attached.
