Damn, Son: Samuel L. Jackson Is In For 'Iron Man 2'; Signs Over Life To Marvel For 9 Films

Hold the phone every one about to nail the coffin in on “Iron Man 2,” maybe all Marvel was waiting for was that nice lookin’ Q4 cropshare* report to finally hit before they made any major moves. Orange juice Comic book heroes are up and Samuel L. Jackson has brokered a successful deal to star in “Iron Man 2” as Nick Fury.

And holy shit, it’s a long-term commitment whopper that is a nine picture deal that includes “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America,” “The Avengers” and its sequels. Hello nerds, are you listening? Sequels to all your soon-to-be favorite films. “Avenger 2: Boner Time!”

There is even a potential S.H.I.E.L.D. movie on the table. Nerds across the globe just got erections and then passed out. Man, this deal is so unprecedented that we’re even feeling funny and lightheaded.

Just a few weeks ago, Jackson seemed to be on the outs with Marvel and it appeared like he might exit his role as Nick Fury – a move that was met with a lot of anger and sadness by fans who squealed with glee at his cameo tease at the end of “Iron Man.”

Does that mean Mickey Rourke’s deal is right around the corner? [THR] *We just rewatched “Trading Places” again the other day. It’s been on the brain. Presumably Jackson is somewhere in Malibu right now pulling a Dave Chappelle. “Iron Man 2” is still set for a May 7, 2010 release date.
