Here’s a novel idea. Rather than just make the documentary version of “Fanboys,” how about an insightful-looking documentary on George Lucas, the good, bad and the ugly? Film critic Glen Kenny aptly explains the nature of the doc in one sentence which is all you need to know: “Has he fulfilled his destiny or has he destroyed his legacy?” It’s basically a love/hate look at George Lucas and everything he’s accomplished. How fans worship him and yet want to tar and feather him for “raping their childhoods,” with the brutally awful, “Star Wars” prequels. Either way, it sounds like both sides of the argument are balanced quite evenly which makes for an interesting looking film on George Lucas for once. – Grace Brodie Cruz.
