Trailer: Michel Gondry, Leos Carax & Joon-ho Bong's 'Tokyo!'

You haven’t forgotten about the omnibus film “Tôkyô!” have you? The picture consists of three shorts, one by Michel Gondry, and the other two directors on the project are South Korean filmmaker Joon-ho Bong (“The Host”) and French director Leos Carax — who hasn’t made a film since 1999’s “Pola X” (and Scott Walker scored) — and the trailer has finally arrived.

The film comes out March 6, and we’ve already shown you one version of the poster, some clips from the film and the fact that Gondry’s former bandmate in the French pop group, Oui Oui, guitarist/singer Étienne Charry, composed the score for the directors’ “Interior Design” vignette.

We saw “Tokyo!” back in December and our review will hit closer to the release date, but the film is — for the most part — immensely enjoyable with Carax’s Godzilla-inspired short, “Merde” (shit) being our fave and the most hysterical. Gondry’s is good too, but it might be our least favorite of the three. Bong’s has a great odd and displaced tone which was both comedic and hypnotic.
