Got a Tip?

Billy Bob Thornton To Star In Terry Gilliam’s New Project ‘Zero Theorem’ In May?

While Terry Gilliam waits for Johnny Depp to become free so they can try, try again on “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote,” the fanciful director has another project to keep him busy.

Titled, “The Zero Theorem,” the film has been written by Pat Rushin and apparently would be a “somewhat smaller than the typical Gilliam project, in the way that ‘The Fisher King’ was,” writes FilmIck.

According to /Film that transcribed a French article, Billy Bob Thornton is set to star as a tormented, reclusive [data processing] genius trying to find final answers to the many enigmas of existence” while working on a mysterious project and that the film is supposed to shoot in May. Yeah? /Film have read the script and call it a “science-fiction drama that skidded on the turnpike and ended up ditched in a psychogenic fugue.”

Let’s hope this project is a little less cursed than past previous Gilliam films. It sounds interesting in all, but it mainly makes us ask one thing: Does this mean Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” with Heath Ledger’s final performance is completed or close to completion? And when the hell is the film going to see an official release date? Anyone? Bueller? Please pass on info if you’re in the know.
