The soundtrack for Randall Miller’s family drama, “Nobel Son,” was released on-line September 30th but has its in-store debut coming up on November 11th.
The film follows Barkely Michaelson, a PhD candidate who is struggling to put together his thesis while his father (played by Alan Rickman) wins the Nobel prize for chemistry. When Barkely is kidnapped the ransom is set as the $2 million his father just won for the Nobel prize. His father refuses to pay setting in motion a venomous tale of family dysfunction. It stars Bill Pullman, Danny Devito, Ted Danson and Alan Rickman. Director/Writer Randall Miller also wrote and directed this year’s indie-hit, “Bottle Shock.”
The soundtrack contains original music composed by Paul Oakenfold with songs by The Chemical Brothers, The Atari Babies, Groove Armada, and Spitfire. It is currently available through Lakeshore Records on Amazon and itunes, it will be available in stores on November 11th. The complete track listing is posted below.
