With the rest of the country often complaining (and often rightfully so) that entertainment is essentially made on two coasts for those living on those two coasts, it'll be interesting to see how Relativity Media's patriotic/jingoistic American counter-terrorism war film "Act Of Valor" performs overall when it hits theaters on February 24, considering it's mostly aimed at (and certainly being marketed to) the middle of the country.
In keeping step with the values of the film, the soundtrack is plucked straight from the heartland and features brand new original songs written and inspired by the movie, from contemporary country stars like Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Wynonna Judd, Montgomery Gentry and more.
The soundtrack is due digitally and in stores on February 21. "Act of Valor" (written by "300" scribe Kurt Johnstad) centers on the story of a group of active-duty Navy SEALs who embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.
