Even though it’s been in the works for a while now, we still don’t know much at all about Noah Hawley’s upcoming FX series, “Alien: Earth.” However, at this year’s Emmys, he opened up about what fans can expect from arguably the most important aspect of the new series—the aliens.

Speaking to Deadline, Noah Hawley teased what he is doing with the Xenomorphs in his upcoming series, “Alien: Earth.” Apparently, even though the series takes place on the friendly confines of planet Earth, there will still be Xenomorphs stalking humans. However, that doesn’t mean Hawley is sticking to the regular look of the iconic monsters.
“That is truly chilling to think of it moving here among us, and so I can’t tell you under what circumstances you’ll see that, but you’ll see it — and you’re going to lock your door that night,” said Hawley. “What was really fun for me was to really engage with the creature, bring some of my own thoughts to the design while not touching the silhouette, because that’s sacrosanct.”
He added, “But some of the elements as we know, whatever the host is, informs what the final creature is,” said Hawley, “I just wanted to play around a little bit to make it as scary as it should be.”
Again, we really don’t know much of anything about “Alien: Earth.” Previously, Hawley has teased that the prequel series will take a look at the corporate side of the ‘Alien’ universe. For those who don’t know, the ‘Alien’ films have mostly focused on the Weyland-Yutani corporation and its desire to figure out how to weaponize the Xenomorphs. So, if you’re wondering how these creatures make it to Earth, it probably has something to do with that corporation.
In addition to not knowing much about the series’ plot, we still don’t have an official release date for the series. However, it’s expected to debut in 2025.
