So what exactly is the villain going to be in Darren Aronofsky's "Noah"? A talking raincloud? The guy at the lumber yard who jacks up his prices with the storm of all time on the way? A rival ark builder? Your guess is as good as ours, but it seems the director has found his man.
Deadline reports that an offer has been made, and negotiations are under way, for Ray Winstone to play the baddie in the movie with the deal expected to close. And if you've seen any of the movies in which he snarls and stalks the screen, you know he can do the job. Interestingly, the site notes that Val Kilmer (!!!!) was a contender, but that Winstone was considered a better fit to square off against Russell Crowe. But holy shit, Kilmer as the baddie would've been kind of awesome if also totally wrong at the same time. Anyway, Winston will join Crowe, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman and Emma Watson in the film, with the role Noah's wife still to be cast. Jennifer Connelly's name is being tossed around, but it still isn't official.
Production gears up this summer and it looks like it will be biblical because we're not going to see this thing until March 28, 2014.
