As mentioned, Jolie’s most recent film is the acclaimed biopic, “Maria,” which is expected to be a major player during awards season. Prior to that, she starred in the Marvel Studios production, “Eternals,” and the thriller “Those Who Wish Me Dead.” This new film marks her first time working with Winocour.

Winocour began her feature filmmaking career with an acclaimed film, “Augustine,” back in 2012. Since then, she has directed films such as “Disorder,” “Proxima,” and “Paris Memories.” With Angelina Jolie attached to “Stitches,” it has quickly become her highest profile film to date.

There’s no word on when we might see “Stitches” arrive in theaters. Filming is expected to begin in early 2025. If that’s the case, perhaps we could see it show up by the end of 2025 or early 2026. We shall see.

The news was first reported by Variety.
