The Highest Grossing Film Of All Time!
After only 6 weeks, “Avatar” has broken the worldwide box office record of “Titanic.” The film finished the week surpassing the 13 year record by $50 million. The total now stands at
$1.843 billion and you know it’s only going to grow from here.
But like a baseballer suspected of doing steroids though, just remember, 65% of its overseas box-office and nearly 80% of its domestic earnings come from 3D venues where the ticket price is heavily stacked.
Yay 3D, yeah, fun spectacles. OK, does this mean it’s going to win the Oscar Best Picture too? Yikes, a frightening thought. We think it’s probably inevitable, though that’s a pretty depressing thought.
