Last October, we wrote David Wain and he gave us the exclusive details on all the music featured in “Role Models.” We asked him if a soundtrack CD was ever coming out and he said, “hmm, probably not.” Well, a belated soundtrack is coming out on March 24, but it’s mostly a score disc from the music written by Craig Werden. So unfortunately no Kiss songs, but hey, it’s something, right? There is also a song by Peter Salett (who we talked to about his contributions to the film), and Charles Gansa.
We didn’t love the film to be honest, but we still heart Wain and we’re glad it was immensely successful (it’s budget was $28 million and it made $90 million worldwide). Apparently he might do the “Little Fockers” film next, a move we can’t totally endorse, but hey, maybe with him on board, a ‘Fockers’ movie will be tolerable.
